Walking around the old city of Segovia, Spain, I stumbled across this old door to what looked like a garden on the other side. Old doorways and garden gates dot the walls of what would be otherwise uninteresting streets. The old doors provide some visual relief from the plain walls.

Along our way to Castelo de Sao Jorge in Lisbon, Portugal, we came across some very colorful graffiti along a stairway. The graffiti seemed to work with the ancient stairway, the two formed an interesting symmetry that stopped me and caused me to take this shot.

Three Buddhas which often are found in Buddhist temples of Japan and Korea (only two places where I have visited temples), Buddha of the past, Buddha of the present, and the Buddha of the future. These particular Buddhas are found at Shofuku-ji Zen Buddhist Temple in Fukuoka, Japan.
