A vignette of an entrance way of the many public walkways at Tlaquepaque Arts and Crafts Village in Sedona, Arizona.
My Photograph of the Day is Red Rock Views. Sedona, Arizona, is known for it's red rock. This photograph is one example of a shot of the beautiful red rock found in the area.
Sedona is an interesting place. If you have never been, it is well worth the visit. It is at once old and modern, traditional and new age. It is a paradox. So on a lark, we stopped by Tlapaqueque Arts and Crafts Village just down the hill from the center of town, down at Oak Creek. It is a shopping mecca in Sedona. What I loved about the place is the architecture and the small village look and feel. It is designed to mimic colonial Spanish architecture, and it does a wonderful job.

I find more often than not that it is not the location that is difficult to photography,…

A new feature for 2018, a daily photograph with some discussion on how I took the photograph. Today's photo is from Tlaquepaque Arts and Crafts Village in Sedona, Arizona.

I have been to Sedona a number of times the past two years, and have always tried to take some wonderful photographs. It is harder than it sounds. First, there is a lot of development and home near many of the real beautiful spots that inhibit some great shots. Secondly, there are a lot of folks out and about…
