Mid-year update on what I am doing at David Cote Photography. After a number of years in hiatus from participating in Art Shows, I am once again beginning to prepare for my first art show in over three years. I have new photography to show and new plans to show it. Read all about it below.
Morning view from Bright Angel Point on the north rim of the Grand Canyon.
The ceiling of the El Transparente by Narciso Tome and his four sons at the Primate Cathedral of Santa Maria in Toledo, Toledo, Spain.
Toledo is a gem in the crown of Spain. The blending of Jewish, Christian and Moorish influences gives this city it's special magic. Must see sights includes the Primate Cathedral of Saint Mary of Toledo, the Synagogue of Santa Maria La Blanca, and the El Transito Synagogue.
Golden hour down along the valley floor of Monument Valley with a view of the East Mitten framed by both Merrick Butte and the West Mitten.
Rapids along Abrams Creek on the way to Abrams Falls in Cades Cove, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Tennessee
On a sunny afternoon in Sintra, Portugal, we visited the National Palace of Pena (Palacio Nacional de Pena). It is both an odd and very interesting place, with exterior walls painted in bright yellow and orange-red. This is a photograph of a side walkway.
The Superstition Mountains lit by the late afternoon sun. Apache Junction, Arizona.
A gorgeous dramatic view of the expansive iconic landscape that is Monument Valley. The clouds in the sky, the lighting on the buttes, provides drama in this iconic landscape and provides the visual interest for such a magical and beautiful location.
When visiting Barcelona we went to Poble Espanyol, a village representing the various regions of Spain. While there I walked by this restaurant with a pitcher of Sangria outside on an table set for two.
Even with a failed camping trip to the Valley of the Gods, I still managed to capture some great shots. The red rock and the early morning sun are a match made in heaven. And I found some new places in the Valley of the Gods to photograph!
My Photograph of the Day is 'Ta Prohm Ruins.' Taken on Christmas Day in Siem Reap, Cambodia at Angkor Wat, Ta Prohm is perhaps the most famous temple complex in the area. The temple is partially reclaimed by the surrounding jungle and was used in the Tomb Raider movie series.
