Customized Private Photography Workshops

Customized Private Photography Workshops

I can take you anywhere within Arizona, southern California and southern Utah to photograph various landmarks and locations.

I can setup a workshop for an individual or a small group (no more than 4). Pricing will be negotiated upon discussion of your specific needs and goals, but generally the costs will be $500 per day per photographer and will include travel time to location, in field instruction, and post-processing instruction during the trip (one day field trip includes 2 hours post-processing instruction – typically done during the lunch hour when light for landscapes is not great; two day or longer field trip includes up to eight hours of post-processing instruction, again during the middle of the day and evenings depending on traveling time during the trip).

All travel costs (lodging and food costs) will be negotiated prior to travel. If any camping would be required, I will provide basic camping equipment (i.e., tent, sleeping bags, camp seating, cookware, dishware, lanterns, coolers for food items, etc) so you can concentrate on bringing your photography equipment and not have to worry about camping gear.

Where Can We Travel From?

We can begin from Phoenix Arizona, Las Vegas Nevada, or Flagstaff Arizona.  Please note that many of these locations listed above are hours away from each other and there will be a significant amount of time in travel (the southwest is a big place!).

For instance, if we begin in Phoenix and you want to visit the North Rim locations of Point Imperial or Cape Royal, you are looking at minimally a 6-8 hour drive depending on traffic. If we begin in Las Vegas and you want to visit Death Valley, it will be minimally a three hour drive to get to some locations. The park is huge, for instance, it is an hour drive from Mesquite Dunes to Zabriskie Point, to give you sense of scale of distances between photography locations.

This is the southwest, all distances are huge, but along with the long time in the car comes great locations for landscape photography. And of course, I’d love to talk about the current state of photography while driving and would love to answer many of your questions, so please feel free to ask and let’s discuss photography!

If you let me know where you would like to photograph, I can put together an initial itinerary for you that we can work from to finalize your trip.

Other Things to Note

Also note that weather will play a large part in what kind of photographs we will be able to capture. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, there is nothing I can about that. In that case, I will help you get some photographs that will still give a sense of the place even if the sun doesn’t cooperate!

If you are interested in starting your southwestern photography adventure, then fill out the form below and let me know what you are interested in. We can talk about what your goals are and I can figure out the best way to help you get the most from your adventure, and get some great photographs!
