Welcome to my Photograph of the Day. I decided to post a daily photograph. But I am doing more than just posting a photograph, I am also discussing how I took the photograph and what I did in post processing. So this my 25th day, and today's photo is from Florence, Italy.
A quick review and photographs from my visits to the Uffizi and the Academy in Florence Italy. Both are world renown art museums featuring both paintings and sculptures.
A quick review of my travels to Firenze, or Florence, Italy. Florence is the home to some great renaissance art, being the home to both the Uffizi Museum and the Academy, the home of David by Michelangelo. Not to mention the catherdral, the Ponte Vecchio bridge, and the list of sites to visit goes on!
A new feature of 2018, a photograph of the day from my archives. Today's photograph is the front columns from the Temple of Saturn in the Roman Forum in Rome. The phrase, Senatvs Popvlvsqve Romanvs is translated as "The Senate and the People of Rome."

After visiting Rome, we headed to the Amalfi Coast but not before taking a side trip to Pompeii.
We took a Viator tour of the Vatican Museums and also was able to go into the Vatican without waiting in Saint Peter's Square in line. The place is absolutely an art lovers dream, and if you are Roman Catholic, it is the place to visit. Unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to see Pope Francis ;-(
A recounting of my recent trip to Rome with my family. As it was a family trip, it was more focused on family activities than photography. But I did manage to take some photographs that I liked!
