Angkor Wat has always been on my bucket list ever since learning about it in 8th grade World History class.  It always held a fascination for me, a place of mystery and intrigue.

A place that was so different from what I knew and from what I had learned.  It was a place that I desired to visit, but figured I’d never get there.

But I did, and these are some of my favorite photographs of my time in that mystical place, a place of jungle and dancing Apsaras and figures of Hindu deities and Buddhas, a place of the merging and blending of two great religious traditions, a place of mystery and a place of ancient lives and a place inhabited by an exotic people of the distant past.

Come, journey and explore amongst the ruins that are Angkor Wat.
