Light shinning down upon the wet road of the Blue Ridge Parkway, Virginia.

When I lived in Virginia, I often would take a weekend and head up to my favorite place, the Blue Ridge Parkway.  You never new what you would find there to photograph. From hikes to waterfalls to small wonders such as the newly rise sunlight spilling through the trees onto the parkway itself.  It had rained all night, so I wasn’t sure that there even would be any decent light, and came around the corner and there was a break in the clouds, and well, the rest was history!

This photograph was taken with my Canon 7D using a EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 set to 55mm. I took this shot with the camera set at f/11 at 1/13 sec at ISO 100.  I processed the photograph in Lightroom with a quick trip into Photoshop so I could create a TIFF file.  The photograph needed very little processing, it was simply a beautiful photograph and a beautiful morning!

You can purchase this a canvas wrap (among other formats) at my Fine Art America website here.

If you decide to leave a comment, remember this old adage updated for today – “It is better to be thought a fool than to leave a flaming and non-constructive comment and remove all doubt.” And please, no profanity. Thanks, and after you leave your comment, go out and take some great photographs!
